No. We simply use FilmFreeway as the official place to submit your film. You always see your projects and submissions inside FilmFreeway itself.
How do I know my account won’t be misused?
We recommend creating a new FilmFreeway account that only holds this project. After the season you can change the password or close that account completely.
When do I actually pay FFW40?
Only after we submit. First we pay the full festival fee on FilmFreeway and send you proof, then you reimburse our 60% invoice.
What festivals can you handle?
Any festival that can be entered through FilmFreeway. If it’s on FilmFreeway, we can submit and apply the same 40% saving.
How can you afford to give 40% off?
We batch hundreds of submissions together and pay festivals through a small set of high-volume agency accounts. Festivals reward that volume with better internal rates, and we pass most of that saving straight back to you.
How do I know my film was actually submitted?
Every time we submit, FilmFreeway sends the official confirmation email to the account inbox, and we also send you a short summary with screenshots. You can always log in to FilmFreeway yourself and see the festival listed as Submitted.

Andrew is a festival submissions specialist and an independent director–producer. Since 2017 he has lived inside FilmFreeway and festival backends, watching submission fees creep up season after season while the budgets of indie filmmakers stayed flat. Along the way he has helped more than 3,200 directors pick up awards and selections.
He knows exactly how much it hurts when a dream route of 20 festivals suddenly turns into a four–figure invoice. FFW40 was born out of that frustration: using agency-level bulk pricing, route planning and negotiation to shave roughly 40% off the cost of chasing laurels, without touching the artistic choices of where you want to submit.
